19th Century American. Flower and leaf paint decorated with alligatored finish. Wide crest rail and high comb back with both convex and concave arrow spindles. Bowed arms and wide shaped plant seat. Bamboo turnings on legs. / Measures: 45.75"H x 19.5"W x 21"D, Seat: 18"W x 17.5"D / Condition: Has on old repair on the back of the wide crest. The feet have been extended 5.75”. Possible paint enhancement or repaint at the time of the repairs. Repair to right arm front. Joints are somewhat loose.
